The Southern gallery and The Vendue Art Hotel are pleased to present "Family Ties," an exploration of the interconnectedness of a family of makers: the matriarch, batikist, printmaker, and oil painter, Mary Edna Fraser, younger daughter and multimedia artist, Reba West Fraser, and elder daughter and performance artist, Labanna Babalon. This is their first exhibition as a family.

The first is Memory Lands: King Philip's War and the Place of Violence in the Northeast, by Christine DeLucia (Yale University Press,) featuring "Narragansett Bay" (batik on silk, 66" x 46".) The other is On the Mediterranean and the Nile: The Jews of Egypt, by Aimée Israel-Pelletier (Indiana University Press,) featuring "Nile Delta Desert Islands" (batik on silk, 52" x 36".)

Museum of the Earth exhibition extendedFebruary 23rd, 2018

The exhibition Mapping the Planets in Silk and Sound at the Museum of the Earth in Ithaca, NY has been extended until the first week of June. The show has been a big hit and we are pleased with the response!

Spring Island workshops with Cecelia Dailey and Mary Edna FraserFebruary 22nd, 2018

Cecelia Dailey and Mary Edna Fraser will host consecutive workshops on Spring Island the first week of March. Tuition cost listed below will be reduced with additional students.
