Dewees Island Oils

In freezing Winter weather, Mary Edna painted from observation towers on Dewees. Copahee I and II look toward the inland waterway, while Timacau I and II face the Atlantic Ocean. Cypress Memory was painted mid-island, as were Wooded and Wetlands. Capers Walk and Lavender Point depict the north end of Dewees. Distant Wavebreak and Tidal Creek were completed at the Nature Center, the first to be painted plein air on the island. Shimmering is how Mary Edna feels when looking at the ocean…

Please contact Carey Sullivan <careycbuck@gmail.com> to purchase any available oils. All framed 18″ x 24″ paintings are $2,200 and proceeds benefit the Dewees Island Conservancy. (There is still time to view the works in person by scheduling your visit to the exhibit at Huyler House HERE!)
