On March 13th, Mary Edna presented at the Edisto Art Guild and then spent the remainder of the week painting plein air. A 3’ x 8’ canvas was rigged daily between two trees in the swamps of the ACE Basin. Only 25 miles south of Charleston, the preserve includes 350,000 acres of protected lands where the Ashepoo, Combahee and Edisto rivers meet. After 4 days of painting dawn to dusk, the work was finalized in the studio. It will be on display there for you to come visit in person this Spring!
